3 day Forecast-5/7/2011

An upper ridge will setup in our area Sunday. This ridge will allow temperatures to rise to around 90 later in the week. This ridge will stay around for a while as a cold front will progress slowly. This cold front looks to be in our area around Friday morning according to the European model.

Sunny and Warm followed by storms

Could be our first time this year with highs reaching 90 today. Friday should be somewhat breezy with highs in the mid 80s. Sunday night is our next big chance for rain. Some storms could be severe but SPC does not forecast us for any chance of convection. Looks like the severe weather event last weekend gave Southaven around five inches of rain.

Get ready for rain this weekend. Desoto county is now under a flash flood watch. Today it should be breezy with a high of 81. Friday the rain starts to move in, we can't rule out any severe thunderstorms. Our next day for no rain will come Tuesday. This weekend remember turn around don't drown. Looks like we have the back-end of the low coming into southaven today. Could get some thunderstorms but not severe. Looks like we had some pretty significant size hail, half dollar size. Should be in the low to mid 70s until thursday. Looks like tuesday expect more thunderstorms with high in the mid 60s. Rain comes back on Friday with highs in the 80s.
